LULZ

When I woke up this morning I was still mildly drunk, which is not a bad way to start the day all things considered. Started taking my meds, again, and once again resolved to write every single day, even if it is just trash, and then see what develops.
In terms of what I'm doing with myself I've started re-writing LULZ, a semantic search engine and muckraker for personal information on the web. It was kind of inspiring to learn maltego sucked so much ass and yet is still universally lauded. Ver 1 of LULZ, written over a year ago, already made maltego bite the curb, so to speak, but I didn't release it because I honestly didn't think it was good enough or even practically usable. Got bored with it and since lost the source code, but now I have a much better handle on blackboard architecture and Bayesian inference and therefore should be able to do a much better job.
Essentially LULZ is a web-stalking tool that searches for interesting info in a similar way to a real human researcher. Still heaps of work to go though, and if I keep getting drunk I'll never get it finished.
Maltego blows largely for two reasons:
1)it is incapable of determining the relevance of new information to a search. Relevance must be manually assigned by the operator
2)Maltego wants to be a commercial product when it grows up, and so bends over assways to obey the TOS for various sites. Mega-lame.
Trying to take things easy in my personal life, I have a tendency to flip out, over-react, nurture obsessions and the like. Need to relax. Take a chill pill or two, perhaps down the entire bottle.
Have you noticed that smiley faces make everything ok?
“ Fuck you Caleb I hate your guts ;) ”
